Friendship Garden & Columbarium

Friendship Garden
Friendship Garden is an enchanting environment that welcomes people to Rolling Hills throughout the seasons of the year. Our garden’s health and overall appearance is maintained by the Garden Angels, a group of volunteer gardeners, led by master gardener Lyn Holiday. This is a fun group that welcomes the inexperienced gardener, wishing to learn, along with the more seasoned veteran willing to share expertise!

Columbarium
The columbarium is a quiet, private spot in Friendship Garden, located between the Chapel and Narthex. Crematory ashes are scattered and covered in the columbarium to provide a final resting place for loved ones. A lovely plaque records the names of those individuals

Memory Stones
Memory Stones in our Friendship Garden, are an opportunity for you to honor and remember someone special to you. They are created from a special river rock which through the ages has been polished in God’s providence to a lasting durability

All Memory Stones are engraved with the following:

.

  • The name of the individual or individuals being honored/remembered and the emblem indicating the specific category of the stone.
  • The cross is the emblem designating a deceased loved one
  • The heart is an emblem designating a special friend, living or deceased.
  • The steeple is an emblem designating that the honoree, “a friend of the future” has made Rolling Hills a part of their estate planning.
