Rolling Hills Announces New Partnership With Grandview Park
Presbyterian Church
Rolling Hills and an
anonymous donor have partnered together to provide $5,000 to fund
the 2011 Summer Kids Club and Day Camp created and run by
Grandview Park Presbyterian Chuch in Kansas City, Kansas!
Heartland Center Camp in Parkville has also offered to donate the
use of their facility to house the camp this year. The Grandview
Park Summer Kids Club was established to provide a safe and fun
environment for the large number of Spanish-speaking immigrant
children in their KCK neighborhood, who were often left alone
during the day while their parents worked. 80-100 kids are
expected to enroll in the program for this summer! To learn more
about Grandview Park's Kids Club, check out their
informational flyer.
Christmas Offering
The recipient Christmas Offering 2010 is the
The Hope Leadership Academy. The Hope Leadership Academy is a
neighborhood-based, K--8th grade charter school scheduled to open
in August of 2011. As a result of the multiple school closings in
the KCMO school district, this much-needed school will provide a
high quality education to kids in a neighborhood who currently
have no such options. The HLA is one of the many urban ministries
developed by The Hope Center. Last year, our congregation's overwhelming
contributions to the Christmas Offering helped support the Hope
Center's Family Care Center and provided some much-needed medical
equipment.
Due to the generous support of the RH Congregation, the
Hope Leadership Academy received $31,677.15, dedicated
during services on January 30, 2011.
Past recipients of the Christmas Offering have included The Hope
Family Care Center, The Rehabilitation Institute of Kansas City, Kansas City Kansas Community College’s Endowment Association Scholarship Fund, TLC for Children and Families, Inc., Head Start of Johnson County, Catherine’s Place, and St. Joseph’s Institute for the Deaf.

is a non-profit agency which fosters mentoring, entrepreneurship
skills, and positive male role-models for inner-city boys ages
12-15. BoysGrow began in Spring 2010. The program is a year-round
farming and entrepreneur program. Boys plant, cultivate, and
harvest their own crops, then sell their produce and other

This is our Get the #2 Lead Out campaign.
