Legacy Fund

 
 

What is the Legacy Fund?

Established by the Session in 2002, the Legacy Fund provides a means for members to make gifts, bequest and devised to the church to provide financial support for the ministries of the church.

The Legacy Fund is intended to support ministries that are not funded as a part of the church's operating budget and regular giving of its members

 

How will the Legacy Fund use my gifts?
There are six established gifting opportunities within the Legacy Fund.

  • Permanent Legacy Fund
    This fund will be operated in perpetuity and will fun ministries and missions recommended by the Legacy Fund Committee and approved by the Session. The principal will be invested, professionally managed, and the earned income will be available to the church.

  • Designated Legacy Fund
    Outreach
    Children, Youth, and Families
    Music and Worship
    Education, Nurture, and Support Ministries
    Facilities

    Other gifting opportunities are available within the consent of the donor and the Session.

What are the Benefits of the Legacy Fund?

  • Enables the church to have a predictable, lasting source of funds to continue ministries outside of the normal operating budge
  • Gifts are fully deductible from income or estate taxes as provided buy law.
  • Enables members to continue giving to the church after they are no longer here.
  • Gives one the peace of mind knowing that their gift is being professionally managed and overseen by the Session for the benefit of the church.
